    ·   Welcoming the newest Bloemendaal! ·

    Silas Israel Bloemendaal
Born September 5th at 1:16pm in Zeeland, MI
    8 lbs 8 oz - 21 in

Thank you so much for your prayers over the last nine months of pregnancy!  We are so overjoyed a filled with love, we couldn't feel more blessed.  Silas is so healthy and wiggly and mom is doing great!  He has a full head of dark hair, has been sleeping lots, and arms and fingers are moving all over - perhaps already practicing for for sign language!  We cannot wait for everyone to meet this little man!

    RCA ·  Mission ·  Partner ·  Personnel

We are excited to announce that we have been officially approved as Reformed Church of America Mission Partner Personnel! (What does this mean?) This means that our work with CCCD is now approved and under the ministry of RCA Global Missions. We now have access to many of the RCA's resources and benefits, including the capability of receiving funds through the RCA which some churches prefer. This was an extensive application and interview process, and we are so excited to be officially partnering with the RCA!

    Looking · Ahead

As we get to know our new life as a family of three, we wanted to give you a small glimpse of what the next four months will entail for us.  They are crucial months as we not only bond as a family but continue to prepare to move to Jamaica in January.  One major aspect of this is continuing to fundraise, and we are currently looking for two more churches who are interested in partnering with us - if you know of any connections that we should make, please do not hesitate to let us know!

We also continue to prepare to sell our home and on the last Saturday in August we had a very successful moving sale!  It is a major blessing to not only be able to let go of many of our things, but also make some money to put towards the move.  This time has definitely been an emotional experience parting with items and preparing to part with our first home together, but we know that God has prepared us well for it!

Finally, while there is so much more we could say, we want to ask for your continued prayers as we have now applied for our Jamaica Visas, we continue to learn sign language, and Pat has started his final year of seminary!

    Prayer requests:
    - For the Lord to continue to reveal His plans in this time of transition
    - Health and wellness for Silas and Kara
    - The upcoming sale of our home
    - Pat's new semester at WTS (with more credits than he has taken in previous semesters)
    - Any other unknown prayer requests within CCCD's administration, schools, and village
